Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Maintenance. Tasks: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment. Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Perform preventive maintenance. Monitor safety conditions. Diagnose faults, using testing devices. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor. High speed packaging equipment. Hydraulic system. Power tools. Pumps and compressors. Welding equipment.
