Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Judgement. Organized. Team player. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
