About this role
At Leemberg, we're looking for an experienced First Pipefitter who can independently handle complex piping systems in industrial and maritime environments. You’ll work on high-end installations — from piping on shipyards to advanced systems in food processing plants. You’ll read technical drawings and isometrics, prepare and install piping systems, and tack-weld using MIG/MAG, TIG or electrode techniques. You’ll work closely with the project team, contribute ideas for practical solutions, and ensure quality on site. You're not just a skilled fitter — you're also a mentor to colleagues and a representative of our team on the job site. What will you be doing? - Independently building piping systems for industrial and shipbuilding projects - Tack-welding using various techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG, electrode) - Reading and working from technical drawings and isometrics - Ensuring safe working practices according to VCA guidelines - Collaborating with the project team and contributing technical solutions - Supporting and guiding colleagues on-site - MBO level 2 or 3 diploma in pipefitting or several years of relevant experience - Familiarity with MIG/MAG, TIG, or electrode welding - Ability to read and work from technical drawings and isometric views - VCA Basic certification (extra training like Flange Safety or Safe Hoisting is a plus) - Driver’s license (B) and your own transport - You work independently, accurately, and are solution-oriented
