Core responsibilities - Assess, investigate, and resolve complex or high-value claims, including liability, coverage, and quantum decisions. - Interpret policy wordings, legislation, and internal guidelines to determine entitlements and manage risk. - Coordinate internal teams and external parties (customers, brokers, legal counsel, medical providers, loss adjusters, repairers) to progress claims efficiently. - Negotiate settlements, manage disputes/escalations, and contribute to complaint resolution where required. - Maintain accurate claim file documentation, correspondence, and decision rationale in claims systems. - Identify fraud indicators and refer/investigate in line with fraud management procedures. - Support continuous improvement through insights on claim trends, leakage prevention, and process enhancements. - Provide guidance or mentoring to junior consultants and contribute to team capability uplift.
