Amsterdam 36 - 40 hours 110.000 - 130.000 EUR Financial Controller (French speaking) Bedrijfsprofiel One of our clients, the holding company for a very renowned European business, is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant/Financial Controller . They have operations all over the world and are headquartered abroad. The job is based in Amsterdam and is for three days per week . Fluency in French is required for this position. You will be reporting to the General Manager and be part of a small team. The job is hands-on and requires in depth understanding of Accounting. Job description - Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results - Analyze financial information and summarize financial status - Provide technical support and advice on management accounting - Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures - Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast proces - Prepare (interim) financial statements and produce budget according to schedule - Assist with tax audits and tax returns - Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance - Support month-end and year-end close process - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Ensure compliance with GAAP principles - Conduct regular bank account reconciliation - Liaise with Financial Managers and Accounting Managers of related companies to improve financial procedures - Prepare one set of consolidated financial statements - Manage and participate in the annual audit process Requirements - Educated to a degree in Finance, preferably with a postgraduate degree - Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant - Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, in-depth understanding of IFRS - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process - Hands-on experience with accou...
