About this role
As a Grinding Operator, you will be responsible for the precision grinding and finishing of high-value metal components. Grinding is a critical step in the repair process, ensuring that parts are restored to their original manufacturer specifications. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and/or conventional grinding machines to machine components with extremely tight tolerances, often within hundredths or even thousandths of a millimeter. You will read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure every component is processed accurately and meets strict quality standards. Throughout the production process, you will perform precise measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, while accurately recording measurement results. You will also replace and adjust grinding wheels and tooling when necessary, identify deviations, and take appropriate action to maintain product quality. In addition, you will actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean and 5S principles, helping to optimize processes while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. - Experience with grinding operations is an advantage. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. - Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. - Good command of the English language, both spoken and written. - A precise, quality-focused, and safety-conscious working attitude.
