Leidos is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support the Maritime System Division (MSD) in Long Beach, MS, an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility. MSD is aligned within the Leidos Defense Systems Sector under the Sea Systems business unit. The scope of the business activities at the facility includes development and deployment of advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform quality inspections of components, subassemblies and completed assembliesDocument inspection results in manufacturing execution systemDocument nonconforming materials and coordinate material reviews and dispositionsSupport efforts to coordinate and resolve defects with suppliersSupport the development of test procedures and inspection checklistsWitness required testing per approved test procedures, document findingsReview and provide input to program plans and other program documents in support of document accuracy and on-time deliverySupport root cause analysis investigations for findings and requirement escapesSupport the collection of Quality Metrics Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US citizenHigh school diploma or equivalent and 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experienceAbility to interpret written specifications and drawingsExperience in inspecting precision machined and fabricated parts in accordance with drawing requirements and specified tolerances using micrometers and calipersAbility to perform visual inspections requiring excellent visual acuityExperience in performing quality hardware configuration verificationsAbility to manage multiple activities simultaneouslySelf-starter with attention to detail / observantStrong communication and analytical skillsExperience working with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)Experience performing electrical resistance/continuity testing using a multimeter Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in inspecting electronics assemblies in accordance with the IPC-A-610 standardWorking knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001 requirements for soldered electrical and electronic assembliesExperience working in a hardware manufacturing environmentExperience inspecting precision machined O-ring sealing surfacesWorking knowledge of the ISO 9001 standardContinuous improvement experience in leading innovative changes Experience with Costpoint system

Pay Range:
Pay Range $40,300.00 - $72,850.00
