The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy's High Voltage Products business and become part of a globally recognized team delivering advanced solutions for power transmission and distribution. In this role, you will support the development and execution of customer-specific projects for Generator Circuit-Breakers used in power generation applications worldwide. Based in Zurich-Oerlikon, you will combine your electrical engineering expertise with your Mandarin Chinese language skills to support customers and business partners in China and contribute to the global energy transition.
How you'll make an impact
Create customer-specific wiring and electrical schematics based on technical requirements and project specificationsDevelop and maintain wiring diagrams for new products and product enhancements using EPLAN P8Revise electrical documentation to reflect customer requirements, control system changes, and product developmentsProvide technical support to suppliers involved in control cabinet manufacturing and assemblyMaintain and further develop component and language databases within EPLAN P8Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, and international customersSupport project execution through occasional travel to customer sites and power plants, mainly in ChinaEnsure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements Your background
Completed apprenticeship, technical diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in electrical design, engineering, or a comparable technical roleExperience with EPLAN P8 or similar ECAD software is an advantageFluent in Mandarin and English; German language skills are an advantageStrong attention to detail and a structured, precise way of workingIndependent, proactive, and solution-oriented mindsetTeam player with strong communication and collaboration skillsWillingness to travel internationally as required by projects, approximately 20% More about us
