We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our innovative team at Hitachi, Ltd. Job Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities: Structure Design and Primary Engineering
Lead the full lifecycle of design engineering projects, from concept generation and detailed design to prototyping, testing, and production support. Develop and refine detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Conduct complex engineering analyses, including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), to validate designs and optimize performance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance product capabilities and efficiency. Perform root cause analysis for design-related issues and implement effective corrective actions. Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company quality procedures. Present design concepts, progress, and results to stakeholders and management.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in design engineering, preferably within a relevant industry (e.g., automotive, industrial, electronics, power systems). Demonstrated expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar) and PDM/PLM systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to conduct complex engineering analyses. Proficiency in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with project leadership or mentoring junior engineers is highly desirable. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
