The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as an HSE professional and play a key role in driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture within our factory operations in Zurich. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, minimize risks, and continuously improve HSE performance while supporting sustainable and safe operations.
How You'll Make an Impact
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, internal policies, and Hitachi Energy standards across the factoryConduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and define mitigation actionsDrive incident investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive measuresMonitor HSE KPIs, prepare reports, and support data-driven decision-makingDeliver and coordinate HSE training sessions while promoting awareness and best practicesSupport internal, external, and certification audits, ensuring timely follow-up actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to integrate HSE into daily operationsLead HSE initiatives and environmental improvement programs (e.g. waste, water, energy) Your Background
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in an industrial or energy environmentDegree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or similar fieldCertified HSE professional according to Swiss legislation (mandatory)Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and HSE Swiss regulationsProven experience in risk assessments, incident analysis, and performance reportingStrong communication and training skills with the ability to influence behaviorsAnalytical, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative working styleFluent in German and English; additional expertise in ergonomics or hazardous materials is a plus More about us
