HOURS 35 hours, 12 months, 260 days FLSA: Non exempt Contract Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit. FLSA: Exempt QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education Three years minimum experience working with the public including community service agencies and related service providers Experience working with elementary and/or middle school children and their families Ability and experience collecting and analyzing data to prepare in-depth analyses of findings and generate reports Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work well in group problem-solving situations Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Word Tables, and Excel charts and spreadsheets Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills Leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community RESPONSIBILITIES Work with a diverse population of families, community partners and WCPS staff Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach programs to increase parent, family and community engagement in the school Assist in the resolution of non-academic problems which interfere with students receiving the maximum benefit from the school's educational programs Coordinate outreach services and plan, carry out, and assist with home visits to increase parent, family and community engagement Prepare data reports as needed Assist school personnel with the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of student, parent and community related activities/events Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families Other related duties as assigned
