About this role
Qualifications:
• Hold valid New Jersey Supervision Certificate, preferred.
• Hold valid New Jersey Certificate of Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities with content endorsement.
• Hold a master's degree from an accredited University, Bachelor's Degree, or advanced coursework in Special Education.
• Must have at least (5) years' experience as a Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities with content endorsement.
• Must be knowledgeable of N.J.A.C. 6A:14, Special Education Code, Laws, and Procedures.
• Effective communicator who can provide professional development to Autism teachers Discrete Trial and Behavior Management.
• Must be highly organized and efficient.
• Ability to interpret and assist classroom teachers with the analysis of data.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators and the community.
• Demonstrate effective problem solving, communications, organization, planning, record keeping and human relations skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and others.
