Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements: We require applicants to be cleared to a minimum of SC.We require UK nationality with no caveats or dual nationality.We need strong experience as a System Administrator in an office-based support role.We need experience with Active Directory.We need experience with Microsoft Server suites and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.We need experience with WSUS for software updates.We need experience with VMware and VEEAM backups.We need experience with SQL databases.We need experience maintaining software solutions across various hardware platforms.We need knowledge of TCP/IP and static networking, including Aruba Procurve switches and patching.We would value experience with customer-facing roles.We would value experience with IBM Rational tools such as ClearCase and ClearQuest.We would value experience supporting and managing hardware and software assets.We would value experience with software licence management.We would value experience with printer management.We would value strong Microsoft Office skills.We would value PowerShell and scripting experience.We would value understanding of physical hardware configuration and the ability to build and modify COTS equipment to detailed specifications.We would value experience with Windows Defender and Trellix Anti-virus. Responsibilities: We work with the Systems Team Lead to ensure the facilities needed for the AMPA team to deliver contracted support and change requirements are available.We maintain the facilities to ensure they remain available to the project team.We provide access to the Project Support Environment to meet AMPA requirements.We provide internal system help desk support to AMPA staff.We produce and maintain a schedule of work for administration and maintenance activities.We undertake System Administration tasks from the System Team Backlog in line with Air QMS policies and procedures.We monitor and report on environment performance.We manage the environment to maintain performance and availability.We ensure all data is backed up and can be restored in the event of data loss.We work within the AMPA Quality Management System, including starters and leavers processes.We support internal equipment moves.We provide licencing support as required, including obtaining licence quotes for software used on the account.We support regular software patching, including some weekend working.We may be required to be on call on rare occasions.
