About this role

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements: Proven experience leading application management or enterprise systems teams.Strong understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.Familiarity with the SFIA framework and digital transformation principles.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proven strategic thinking and decision-making skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Practical experience managing complex application landscapes and vendor ecosystems. Responsibilities: Lead the strategic direction and effective delivery of all business applications across our organisation.Develop and deliver an application management strategy that supports our current and future needs.Establish clear processes for the full application lifecycle, including acquisition, development, maintenance, and retirement.Oversee the performance, availability, and reliability of business-critical applications.Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management so issues are resolved promptly and downtime is minimised.Build strong working relationships across our organisation and act as the main point of contact for application-related advice, priorities, and improvement.Ensure our applications comply with regulatory requirements, data protection obligations, and security standards.Identify and manage risks related to application services, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.Lead, support, and develop the application management team to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service and foster collaboration, innovation, and shared problem-solving.
