The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Live Events Teacher to join our college department. In this role, you will design and deliver an engaging curriculum that covers the end-to-end planning, production, and execution of live events. You will lead classroom lectures, facilitate hands-on practical workshops, and evaluate student coursework to foster both academic understanding and industry-ready skills. The ideal candidate will blend real-world industry experience with effective teaching methods, maintaining an inclusive learning environment that inspires student curiosity, supports diverse learning styles, and prepares students for success in the live events sector.

What Will You Bring to the Role

Adapting -The candidate comfortably switches between structured classroom lecturing, hands-on workshop facilitation, and the fast-paced, dynamic demands of live production. They stay calm in ever-changing environments—such as live event setups or unexpected tech issues - and quickly analyze new industry information to inform their teaching approach.

Collaborating - Being perceptive of students' emotional states and learning styles allows the candidate to maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment. They draw on diverse perspectives to foster collaboration among students working on group event projects while building positive morale across the department.

Problem Solving -The candidate critically evaluates complex production challenges to teach students effective, real-world troubleshooting strategies. By identifying industry trends and patterns, they apply fresh knowledge to help students navigate novel situations and challenge conventional thinking in event execution.

Determination - Live events and classroom teaching both present high-pressure situations and technical setbacks, requiring you to approach challenges with composure and self-confidence. You model determination for your students, trying alternative teaching and production strategies to ensure project goals and learning outcomes are delivered successfully
