About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Programme Administrator to join the team providing key administrative and financial management support across the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship Programme portfolio; The Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship Programme and the African-India-Oxford AI in Science Faculty Fellowship Programme which supports faculty from institutions in Africa and India. Together, these programmes deliver cutting-edge AI training, research opportunities, and cohort-based development experiences to fellows across diverse scientific disciplines.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in administration and finance to make a significant contribution to the successful delivery and ongoing development of these high-profile multi-million-pound Schmidt Futures funded initiatives. Working closely with the Programme Manager and other team members, you will be involved in all aspects of the programmes, including recruiting fellows, the administrative organisation and delivery of the training programme, event management and reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for all day-to-day financial transactional activities including invoicing, purchasing, expense claims, casual teaching payments, and supporting budget management.

About You

You will have proven experience in administration and financial management, working independently with attention to detail and accuracy. You will possess excellent IT, organisational and communication skills and will be proactive and innovative with a strong team ethic.
