The FICS Manager will play a key role in managing the operational delivery and contractual responsibilities of Farnham Integrated Care Services. They will design, embed and manage commissioned services, ensuring operational excellence, CQC compliance, and strong collaborative working across partner practices and external stakeholders. The role will line manage and support a team of clinical and non-clinical staff.
Main duties of the job
Strategic and Operational Management
Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of FICS services, contributing to strategic objectives and performance frameworks. Ensure smooth daily operations, drive innovation and efficiency, and coordinate cross-practice projects and quality improvement initiatives.
Contract and Service Oversight
Manage contracts, SLAs, and commissioned projects, ensuring compliance, renewals, and performance reporting. Oversee appointment systems, gather and analyse patient and staff feedback, and maintain strong relationships with external providers. Ensure governance, audit requirements, and patient satisfaction monitoring are met.
Financial and Resource Management
Oversee budgets and financial planning, contribute to cost analysis and funding applications, and support accurate payroll processes.
People and Workforce Support
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and staff management, ensuring training compliance and performance reviews. Manage disputes, grievances, absence, and disciplinary processes while keeping up with employment legislation.
Governance and Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and procedures. Oversee insurance, business continuity, complaints, investigations, and risk management.
IT, Data, and Reporting
Ensure accurate data capture and reporting, support digital transformation, and produce insights to inform decision-making.

The role will provide effective line management to a multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff supporting high standards of performance, service delivery and patient care.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to Certificate of Higher Education or equivalent relevant management qualification.
Experience Essential
Proven experience in a management or operational leadership role (ideally within healthcare, primary care, NHS or service management). CQC awareness is strongly advantageous. Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams, GP practices and external stakeholders. Proven experience of managing and co-ordinating a team. Ability to manage time effectively to prioritise workload and work independently. Adaptable & flexible management style with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities and service requirements. Experience of financial and/or contract management with an awareness of budgetary responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems - EMIS and other NHS reporting tools is advantageous

Experience in primary care management Understanding NHS contractual frameworks and service delivery Knowledge of PCN and ICB frameworks Project management qualification or equivalent experience Experience with EMIS, Ardens, or NHS reporting tools Formal training or experience in financial management, budgeting or procurement
