Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-award-winning Communications team and support our wide range of communications and engagement activity while also achieving the nationally recognised Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
With the support and guidance of team colleagues, the successful candidate will work on a number of different priority programmes including content creation for our social media platforms, recruitment marketing campaigns, stakeholder engagement and internal communications, as well as assisting the team to manage the varied day-to-day tasks required in a busy department providing communications and engagement services for the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester.
Main duties of the job
Source, create and edit engaging content in collaboration with colleagues including written copy, photography, videography, audio and graphic design - for a range of internal and external channels or events ensuring that brand guidelines are met Support the online and social media presence for WAHT across internal and external channels, including using the website and intranet content management system Identify and use relevant/emerging trends, solutions and technologies, including AI, to inform communications and marketing activity Contribute to the monitoring of communications and marketing expenditure and activities Monitor, optimise, analyse and evaluate communications and marketing campaigns and channels to measure effectiveness Use appropriate primary and/or secondary research methods to gather communications/marketing insight or evaluation Use research data to inform communications and marketing decisions Support cataloguing of offline and digital communications and marketing materials and assets using asset management systems Publish, monitor and respond to content across a range of internal and external channels including the internal Rumour Mill application Support the administration of communications and marketing activities including supporting press, advertising and PR activity Maintain accurate customer data and support stakeholder relationship management

Training to be provided:
The successful individual will work towards achieving the nationally recognised Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, delivered by TDM.
This apprenticeship is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to build a successful career in marketing. Over a 20-month programme, you will gain valuable hands-on experience within the workplace whilst completing a structured training programme.
The apprenticeship consists of:
15-month practical learning period, where you will develop and demonstrate your skills in the workplace. 5-month End-Point Assessment (EPA) period, where you will showcase your competence and achievements through an independent assessment. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will benefit from:
Dedicated support from an experienced workplace mentor. Monthly coaching sessions with a specialist TDM coach. Weekly off-the-job training to support your professional development. Quarterly block training weeks delivered online by industry experts. Practical workplace projects that allow you to apply your learning in a real business environment. What You Will Learn
During the programme, you will develop expertise across a range of key marketing disciplines, including:
Marketing Methods, Principles and Practices for Business understanding the fundamentals of effective marketing and how it supports organisational growth. Campaign Implementation and Management planning, delivering and evaluating successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Strategic Marketing Communications and Copywriting creating engaging content and communications that connect with target audiences. Enhancing Customer Experience and the Customer Journey Through Data Analysis using data and customer insights to improve engagement and business performance. Marketing Evaluation and Legislation measuring marketing effectiveness whilst understanding legal and regulatory requirements. Integrating IT and Digital Tools for Marketing and Organisational Success leveraging digital technologies, platforms and tools to maximise marketing impact and efficiency.
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have developed a broad range of practical marketing skills and industry knowledge, enabling you to make a meaningful contribution to marketing activities and campaigns whilst building a strong foundation for future career progression in the sector
