Job summary We are inviting applications to fill our Senior Clinical Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of ENT. This post will commence in September 2026 and is fixed term for 12 months.
Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.
Main duties of the job We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience, competence and commitment in Paediatric ENT.
The position is full time for 1 year and offers the opportunity to obtain specialised experience in ENT. The Department also provides hearing implants and complex ear, Rhinology and head and neck surgery and routine and MDT clinics for our ENT patients. There will be the flexibility for rotation to the respective theatre lists and clinics according to interest. The successful candidate will be part of the 1:7 on-call rota at an experienced SpR level for both children and adults.
The successful applicant should possess FRCS ENT (or equivalent).

Why you should join our Team There are currently 16 ENT Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, 2 Fellows, 5 Specialty Registrars and 8 Core Trainees/GP Trainees/Foundation Year 2 Trainees making this a thriving department covering almost all aspects of ENT surgery.
The ENT department has been rehoused in a new area, offering adjacency of clinic, consultant office, secretaries and management staff, which greatly enhances the working environment. Theatres are in the same area as our related specialties, allowing ease of inter-specialty work. The paediatric work is carried out in the adjacent Children’s Hospital, with excellent ward and ICU facilities.
What you will bring to the role We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience, competence and commitment in Paediatric ENT. Participation in Clinical Governance and Research is an essential requirement and the applicant will be expected to take part in departmental teaching of medical students and junior doctors.
The successful candidate will be able to work in multi-professional teams & supervise junior medical staff. They will have the ability to show leadership, make decisions, organise and motivate other team members for the benefit of patients.
The Senior Fellow will be expected to train in and deliver elective and emergency surgery and deliver outpatient ENT clinics.
