Job summary We are inviting applications to fill our Clinical Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the Department of Cystic Fibrosis. This is a fantastic opportunity for those desiring extensive experience in Respiratory Medicine, specifically Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis & Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia at a large tertiary Respiratory Centre.
This post is for 12 months fixed term contract.
Main duties of the job The post holder will undertake ward duties, supporting patient care on the Cystic Fibrosis Unit. It is intended that the duties of the post will be tailored to the individuals needs, taking into consideration the post holders prior experience, around the service elements of the role.

What you will bring to the role Criteria:
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Be eligible for full registration with & hold a current licence to practise from, the GMC at intended start date
Eligibility to work in the UK
Advanced life support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council or equivalent by intended start date
Applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English or achieved IELTS or OET
Is up to date & fit to practise safely & is aware of own training needs
48 months' experience after full GMC registration or equivalent
Evidence of achievement of IMT competencies in Respiratory Medicine
Recognition of & ability to undertake the initial management of an acutely ill patient
Evidence that career progression is consistent with personal circumstances
Demonstrates understanding of research, including awareness of ethical issues
Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit, clinical risk management, evidence based practice, patient safety & clinical quality improvement initiatives
Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-informed practice
Evidence of involvement in an audit project or quality improvement project (Desirable)
Evidence of interest in & experience of teaching (Desirable)
Demonstrable interest in & understanding of Cystic Fibrosis
