About this role

Job summary Are you keen and driven about continuous quality improvement and transforming services to ensure patients receive excellent care every time? We have an exciting opportunity for two Service Improvement Facilitators to join our Improvement Team. As we continue to develop our Quality Management System and strengthen our culture of continuous improvement, these roles will be key to delivering sustainable change. We are looking for motivated individuals with experience of quality improvement methodologies, Lean tools and techniques, project management, coaching, facilitation and training. You will work across clinical and non-clinical services, supporting teams to identify improvement opportunities anddeliver change that aligns with organisational priorities. This varied and rewarding role involves coaching staff in quality improvement methods, facilitating workshops, contributing to training programmes and supporting improvement projects from planning to implementation. You will help build improvement capability across the organisation and support teams to achieve better outcomes for patients, colleagues and services. Key responsibilities include providing expert support to priority improvement programmes, developing quality improvement capability through coaching and training and supporting the implementation of quality improvement as part of the Trust's Quality Strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence change and support innovation across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

To be an expert in the use of quality improvement tools and techniques including Model for Improvement, PDSA cycles, process mapping, facilitation, demand and capacity analysis and patient/carer engagement To increase the capacity and capability of teams/ individuals to lead and manage change by contributing to formal teaching programmes or sessions to develop and train staff on tools and techniques to support quality improvement and sustainability. With the project sponsors, use a QI coaching approach to influence for results, work closely with these key stakeholders to design and support the implementation of change for the quality improvement intervention.

Person Specification

Education, qualifications and training Essential

Masters degree level or working towards (or equivalent experience) OR recognised management /clinical qualification (diploma level or higher) or equivalent. Evidence of personal development through Continuous Professional Development and/or formal management courses.

Experience and knowledge Essential

Knowledge of the NHS agenda at local and National level. Senior management experience with proven track record of using professional knowledge to demonstrate change management/service development.

Desirable

Experience of staff management

Skills and attributes Essential

Ability to work in a pressurised environment, able to deliver to tight time scales and with competing priorities. Advanced service improvement skills with proven track record in leading and implementing innovative service redesign across healthcare organisations and partner organisations Ability to manage complex multiple projects at varying stages of development to agreed deadlines. Excellent analytical skills Effective negotiating and influencing skills, often in conflicting environment.

Aptitude and personal qualities Essential
