About this role

Job summary

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated MRI Radiology Assistant to support the delivery of a safe, efficient, and high-quality MRI service. This patient-facing role involves welcoming and supporting patients throughout their MRI journey, assisting MRI radiographers with patient preparation, MRI safety processes, administrative duties, and departmental operations.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will assist with MRI safety screening, maintain accurate patient records, support clinic administration, and help ensure a positive patient experience. Following appropriate training and competency assessment, the post holder will also perform intravenous cannulation for contrast-enhanced MRI examinations and support contrast imaging procedures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a patient-centred approach, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous healthcare, radiology, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
