Nursing Support Worker - Wales - Mental Health Vacancy Band 3
We are looking for a hardworking, caring, compassionate and empathetic Nursing Support Worker to come and join our enthusiastic and dedicated team. If you're passionate about delivering the best care possible, have excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team then we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personally generated observations and documenting care given in individual's notes.
If you have previous experience working within a healthcare setting and / or healthcare qualifications, we are very keen to hear from you. You will be undertaking a vital role in maintaining quality care and be part in the recovery of our patients. You will be carrying out several assigned clinical and care tasks related with direct patient care which can have a truly remarkable impact.
Key duties include recording of Daily Observations and how patients present themselves, supporting patients to have a structured day, escorting patients within the community, Vital Signs, Manual Handling, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding, Hydration & Nutrition checks.
You will need to have:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and caring attitude An organised methodical approach Ability to be flexibleA desire to provide excellent quality individualised and holistic care to patients and families

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience of working within a relevant heath or social care environment, providing direct patient care.
Desirable
Previous experience working with people in a caring capacity
Qualifications Essential
Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject Or Equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge, and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses.
