About this role

Job summary The Redbridge Stroke and Neuro Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation for Redbridge residents within their own homes. Assessing individuals in their home environment enables the team to deliver person-centred interventions that significantly improve quality of life and promote independence. Through the provision of specialist therapy and close collaboration with social services, physiotherapists, and other members of the integrated multidisciplinary team, the service supports individuals in achieving their rehabilitation goals and maximising their functional abilities. This collaborative approach makes the role both rewarding and impactful, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of people recovering from stroke and neurological conditions.

The role will require the successful candidate to work as part of multi-disciplinary team using current evidence-based therapy techniques & provide thorough Neuro Assessments. The candidate will also need to engage with other health & social care colleagues both internally and externally.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Trust policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137) pro rata for part time staff.
