About this role

Remote - we’re flexible on location, but we do need GMT+0 to GMT+4 of overlap with UK team. About Zencargo Zencargo is building a world of smarter trade. We combine expert global freight forwarding (ocean, air, road, rail) with Luca, our AI co-pilot, to deliver real-time visibility, proactive exception management, and supply chains that become customers' competitive advantage. Join us to shape products that automate logistics, reduce disruptions, and drive measurable efficiency for global shippers. The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a meaningful area of the Zencargo platform and help transform how global freight is managed. This is an opportunity to digitise and automate complex processes in an industry that still relies heavily on manual work, emails, spreadsheets, and operational knowledge. You will work on products that serve customers, suppliers, freight partners, and our internal operations teams, solving real-world problems across international supply chains. AI is central to both what we build and how we work. You will help identify and deliver AI-powered features that improve supply chain efficiency, while also using modern AI tools throughout discovery, analysis, prototyping, specification, and delivery. You will join a product team, work directly with senior leadership, and partner with a dedicated design and engineering squad. The role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to influence both our product strategy and how we develop software. You will own a meaningful product area and its outcomes end to end, from understanding customer and operational problems through to discovery, prioritisation, delivery, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement. This is not a narrowly defined delivery role: you will be expected to shape the problems the squad works on, challenge assumptions, and provide clear recommendations about where we should invest. Product areas could include booking and shipment workflows, purchase-order management, customer visibility, operational automation, exception management, and AI-powered productivity features. Own the vision, priorities, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for your product area, balancing customer value, operational impact, commercial priorities, and technical complexity. Lead discovery and prioritisation for complex customer and operational problems, using user research, product and operational data, market insight, and commercial context to determine where the team should focus. Experience working closely with engineers and designers throughout discovery, solution design and delivery, without relying on heavy hand-offs or excessive documentation. Map and redesign freight and operational processes to identify opportunities for technology, automation, and AI to reduce friction and improve decision-making. Define success measures before development begins and use product data, customer feedback, and operational insight to assess whether released solutions are delivering the intended outcome. Take responsibility for initiatives beyond launch, ensuring solutions are adopted, create measurable value, and are improved based on evidence. Facilitate sessions and communicate effectively to align product, engineering, design, operations, commercial, and leadership teams around priorities and decisions. Contribute to the broader product strategy and roadmap that advances our vision of intelligent supply chains. Use AI tools as part of your day-to-day product practice to improve the speed and quality of research, analysis, prototyping, communication, and delivery. What Success Looks Like First 30 days : Build a strong understanding of our customers, internal operations, platform, product strategy, technical landscape, and current squad priorities. Establish trusted relationships with engineering, design, and key business stakeholders. First 90 days : Take clear ownership of a product area, validate its highest-priority customer and operational problems, establish measurable outcomes, and lead at least one meaningful initiative into delivery. First six months : Demonstrate measurable progress against agreed customer, operational, or commercial outcomes, such as increased product adoption, reduced manual work, faster workflow completion, or improved shipment reliability. Ongoing : Consistently identify and solve valuable problems, make strong prioritisation decisions, and deliver improvements that create measurable value for customers and the business.
