About this role
We are seeking a Technical Demonstrator to support teaching, learning, and research within our 3D Digital Design and Making facilities. The role involves providing specialist technical expertise, maintaining workshop equipment, and delivering practical demonstrations and training across technologies such as 3D printing, CNC milling, CAD/CAM systems and associated software. (This is a part-time 0.4 role) As our Technical Demonstrator in 3D Design, you will support teaching, learning, and innovation through the safe and effective use of digital manufacturing technologies. The role involves providing technical instruction and training in CAD/CAM software (including Rhino and Fusion), supporting the full digital design workflow from concept to production, operating and maintaining specialist equipment such as 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and 3D scanners, and advising on materials and manufacturing methods. You will ensure high standards of health and safety, manage workshop resources, and contribute to the ongoing development of facilities, processes, and digital making practices.
