All Age Eating Disorder Service- East (covering Nelson, Burnley, Blackburn, Ribble Valley and surrounding area).
Would you like to be part of a service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling people who are experiencing eating disorders to recover and discover their potential?
We are seeking to appoint someone with a caring, compassionate nature, who is innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated. Primarily you will undertake specialist assessment, therapeutic work and physical health care for people presenting with an eating disorder within the East locality. You should be an excellent communicator and team player, with the successful applicant joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals to provide assessment and treatment to children and adult service users and their families/carers. The team includes a range of other psychological professionals, nurses, dietitians and a consultant clinical psychologist/clinical lead.
Main duties of the job
Existing experience in eating disorders across the age range is desirable but not essential. However, a keen interest to develop knowledge and skills in this field and a strong desire to help service users and families is vital. The successful candidate will benefit from regular clinical supervision as well as professional supervision, with encouragement to engage with CPD activities as appropriate.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications Essential
First level qualification, RMN Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post.
Desirable
Specific evidence based therapeutic training
Knowledge Essential
An ability to think systemically and holistically Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence-based needs led assessments, of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based therapeutic interventions relevant to the needs of this client group
Experience Essential
Post qualifying experience in a related field Evidence of an ability to effectively manage own workload and ability to work autonomously Working within a team and /or multi-agency arenas
