Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor post in ENT at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. You will be an integral part of the ENT team involved in the assessment and management of ENT emergencies, outpatients and inpatients.
Main duties of the job
Duties include:
Care of ENT inpatients
Assessment and management of ENT emergencies
Booking of ENT emergency clinic with close liaison with nursing staff
Supervision of ENT junior doctors
Support of Otology, Rhinology & Head & Neck service - clinics, theatre lists & MDT meetings
Out of hours middle grade on call for ENT network on 1 in 18 weekdays (initially this activity may be replaced by Saturday clinics until the post-holder is deemed competent for network on-call)
ENT network includes Southampton & Winchester so a car will be required
All duties will be supervised or advice easily available.

Experience Essential
Senior experience in managing ENT emergencies, clinics and operating. Ability to recognise serious illness Previous NHS experience
Desirable
Mentoring / teaching experience
Qualifications Essential
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice MBBS (or equivalent) MRCS ENT (or equivalent)
Aptitude Essential
Evidence of multi-disciplinary team working Engagement with research / audit Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
Confidence in communication with senior colleagues
