MIBL now has an opening in its Custody & Banking Services Department for a: Custody Tax Operations Officer- (CDI) (Ref:MIBLCTO_072026) About the Role: • Assist the processing of tax reclaims across jurisdictions to recover excess withholding tax. • Assisting on tax certification workflows, including collection, validation of investor documentation and renewal process. • Preparing tax-related documentation required for regulatory and operational purposes. • Assist tax reporting activities, such as income reclassification, annual FATCA/CRS submissions, and 1042-S form preparation. • Setting up tax accounts and maintaining accurate records for new entities or funds. • Generating and reviewing cash flow reports with tax-related implications. • Monitoring and analysing Tax Newsflashes or KPMGs Tax watch to identify relevant regulatory updates. • Performing tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy between internal and external records. • Conducting regular reviews and updates of tax manuals, procedures, and internal controls • Monitoring tax withholding rates across jurisdictions and ensuring correct application • Tax relief at source (RAS) and quick refund processes follow up • Maintaining investor tax profiles and documentation databases • Collaborating with custodians and tax advisors on tax documentation and reclaims • Assist in implementing system enhancements for tax data automation and reporting accuracy • Assist the tax supervisor with ad-hoc requests Specific knowledge & skills: • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar position within Custody tax operations or tax advisory is essential. Experience in tax compliance, risk management, control environment or similar is an asset; • General knowledge of Operations in custody and the Fund industry. • Ability to work autonomously; strong organizational skills & quality focused while being a team player. • Good command of English language is required, and any other language is considered as an advantage • Good reporting skills. • High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance.
