Job Profile Summary: Provides intermediate to complex facilities operations support for a department based on established policies and procedures. Job Description:

Pay Rate: $50,000 per year

This position is responsible for facility support, developing student employees, reservation and event coordination, and broader event support in Student Service facilities, specifically the Sun Devil Fitness Center at the Polytechnic Campus. While this position will be working primarily at the ASU Polytechnic Campus, in Mesa, AZ, the Program Coordinator works in a team of broader professionals, from all four ASU locations.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for leading all facility related efforts at the Sun Devil Fitness Center at the ASU Polytechnic campus. This includes reservation and event management for student organizations, campus departments and broader community organizations inside the SDFC and throughout campus, balancing the student centric nature of the SDFCs with revenue generation goals.

• Engage, develop, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate a dynamic student employee workforce.

• Design and implement development and leadership opportunities for student employees.

• Serve as liaison between ASU’s Facility Management (FACMAN) and outside vendors when it comes to facility maintenance, repairs and updates.

• Create and maintain spaces inside the SDFC that promote healthy lifestyles.

• Serve as a member of the broader Student Services Facilities and Events team to maintain and enhance SDFW grounds and buildings.

• Develop a collaborative relationship with clubs and organizations on campus to provide support and expertise to aid in their event and meeting needs at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex and broader Student Services facilities.

• Provide policy education to patrons correctly and consistently and ensure a high level of risk management is present in the programs and services.

• Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of both facility and event services.

• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

• Foster ASU spirit, pride, and tradition, embodying the core values of our institution and inspiring others to uphold them with enthusiasm and dedication.

• Perform other duties as specified by the Student Services Facilities and Events unit.

• Provide input both within direct Facility and Events team and collaborate with all areas of Sun Devil Fitness and Wellness as a collaborative and team effort.

• Cultivate an inclusive environment for student participants and staff.

• Address patron comments, concerns, behaviors and conduct issues as necessary and with outstanding customer service.

• Manage the reservation process for internal and external clients, utilizing Mazevo. Provide guidance to student organizations, departments and community organizations when reserving space, ensuring all ASU guidelines are adhered to.

• Assist with creating, forecasting, monitoring and allocating the various budgets associated with facility operations.

• Assist with purchasing and maintenance of program equipment and supplies.

• Conduct an on-going review and implementation of risk management policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications:

• Evidence of a Master's degree in Higher Education or related field experiences

• Experience supervising, training, developing and evaluating student employees.

• Experience initiating collaborations with university and community partnerships.

• Experience cultivating an inclusive, safe and diverse environment for student participants and staff.

• Experience with student leadership development in a higher education setting.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office Programs

• Evidence of current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain in the first thirty (30) days

• Evidence of current American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor Certification or willing to obtain in first thirty (30) days
