• In-depth expertise in the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities related to artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM), with a specific focus on mining cooperatives in Bolivia
• Comprehensive knowledge of Bolivia’s mining regulations and institutional framework, with a particular focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements
• Proven track record in developing organizational ESG capabilities and implementing performance improvement programs
• Strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders, from mining communities to corporate executives
• Ability to influence decision-making and drive positive change both internally and with external partners
• Self-motivated professional who works effectively independently and contributes in cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating complex ESG data into clear, actionable insights
• Willingness to conduct extensive field work in mining regions, with up to 50%travel.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough supplier assessments, maintaining comprehensive documentation of performance and improvements actions.
• Engage with suppliers of minerals, metals and bulk commodities through assessments, monitoring of action plans, and delivering capacity building activities.
• Track key performance indicators to track and measure the effectiveness of responsible sourcing initiatives in Bolivia, prepare detailed reports and analytics for management and customer review.
• Support broader responsible sourcing initiatives across Latin America by providing expertise in due diligence processes and supplier assessments throughout the region
• Contribute substantively to external ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and alignment with commercial commitments
• Serve as an ambassador for Trafigura's Responsible Sourcing Programme, effectively communicating its value and objectives to diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Continuously identify, evaluate and integrate emerging best practices to enhance program impact and maintain Trafigura's leadership in responsible sourcing
