Under the supervision of the Principal, the successful candidate works to plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to students as a whole group while differentiating for the needs of the individual. • Provide, develop, and implement a Math instructional program guided by PA STEELS standards for 6th through 8th grade Math students.
• Facilitate active learning while using relevant pedagogical practices and instructional technology to support and differentiate instruction, particularly for students with special education needs and/or English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Observe and evaluate student performance outcomes; monitor the progress of students' academic growth and development to improve professional practice.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, assignments, and projects; provide appropriate and timely feedback.
Qualifications:
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Mid-level Mathematics 7-9 certification or commensurate certification or specific science content area grade 7-12.
• Bachelor's degree and willingness to pursue proper certification through PA Department of Education
• Prior experience preferred
