? Main Areas of Responsibility Your responsibilities will include:

To manage the day-to-day activities of the team on-site and ensure high standards of customer care are maintained for allTo support the Business Manager in the training, induction and continuous professional development of the teamTo be on-call and the first point of contact to manage any issues raised by the team on duty and actively seek solutionsTo be available to work on rotating shifts during weekends at least three weekends monthly, in accordance with a monthly rotaTo be available to work at least four evening shifts monthly from Monday to Friday and regularly during half-term breaks and school holidays in accordance with a monthly rotaTo be available to organise cover and/or cover staff absence as requiredTo communicate regularly with Business Manager about issues arising amongst the team and seeking solutions in accordance with Academy policies and expectationsTo carry out administrative tasks related to Lettings as required and agreed by the Business ManagerTo develop professional relationships with external clients, both existing and new to maximise customer satisfaction Qualifications & Experience We would like to hear from you if you have:

Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirementsBasic training in one or more of plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, heating systems (or sound experience of same)Basic knowledge of the operation of heating, ventilating systems and common causes of malfunctionsKnowledge of maintenance and security systems and proceduresKnowledge of supervisory skillsUnderstanding of appropriate cleaning methods and standardsExperience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment with children and young peopleConsiderable DIY experience and skillsAbility for some heavy lifting, with physical fitness appropriate to tasks requiredAbility to monitor and report on structural faults/repairsAbility to monitor and order stocks of materialAbility to work evenings and weekends on a regular basisAbility to deal with emergencies occurring outside normal working hours For a full job description and person specification, please download the Job Pack.
