GENERAL INFORMATION

POSITION SUMMARY
• Responsible for assisting the head coach of the Volleyball program.
• Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assists the head coach with planning and teaching student-athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become better volleyball players.
• Assists and directs individual and group practice activities as assigned by the head coach.
• Monitoring student-athletes during practices and competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous coaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in volleyball and volleyball techniques is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• The coach must have completed or completed a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
• None
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neigboring localities.
