Bensalem Township School District seeks candidtaes for the position of Supervisor of Math and Science. Position Goal: The purpose of this position is to enrich and support teaching and learning in K-12 mathematics and science to ensure that students meet academic standards and demonstrate continued growth. The Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating standardized and equitable district-wide instructional programs in mathematics and science. The Supervisor fosters a data focused environment of innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving within the disciplines of mathematics and science. This individual ensures equitable and rigorous academic experiences for all students and facilitates a greater awareness of diversity within the school community. As a member of the Bensalem Township School District administrative team, the Supervisor leads efforts to support a sense of belonging and inclusivity for all members of the school community. Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (e.g., Mathematics Education, Science Education, Educational Leadership) required.

• PA Certification in Mathematics and/or Science required.

• Supervisory Certificate and/or Principal Certificate required.

• Five years or more of successful classroom experience in mathematics or science education.

• Minimum of at least 2 years experience with curriculum design, development, and implementation preferred.

• Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making.

• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Demonstrated positive and effective leadership and supervisory abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expertise in mathematics and science instruction, including STEM education best practices.

• Knowledge of national, state, and local standards and assessments in mathematics and science and the ability to apply them to K-12 curriculum and instruction.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of data-driven decision-making and student achievement.

• Ability to design and deliver professional development programs specific to K-12 mathematics and science education.

• Proficiency in using technology to support instruction, data analysis, and communication.

• Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with principals, teachers, parents, and regional/state/national colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the district's K-12 mathematics and science instructional programs.

• Facilitate the development and vertical alignment of curriculum with state and national standards in mathematics and science, ensuring congruence among the written, taught, and tested curriculum.

• Analysis of district and school-based data to identify patterns and trends. Disaggregation of data by subgroups to ensure alignment of student performance, teacher preparation, and program/materials for student achievement and growth and to reduce achievement gaps.

• Collaboration with district MTSS/PBIS staff to ensure K-12 mathematics and science programs are equitable, accessible, and inclusive for all students.

• Oversee the selection of resources and instructional materials, ensuring equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities in K-12 mathematics and science.

• Promote and implement STEM initiatives and inquiry-based learning approaches to foster innovation and critical thinking.

• Provide leadership in planning and providing professional development for staff to support best practices in mathematics and science education.

• Collaborate and plan with other supervisors and administrators to address barriers to student success in mathematics and science.

• Support the planning and presentation of new teacher induction and mentoring of new faculty in the areas of K-12 mathematics and science.

• Represent the district at local, state, and national conferences, workshops, and seminars focused on mathematics and science education.

• Participate in building and departmental budget development related to mathematics and science programs.

• Provide actionable feedback to professional staff as appropriate, with a focus on effective instructional practices in mathematics and science.

• Collaborate with district principals regarding use of content specific data, programming, classroom evaluations, and best practices to achieve increased student outcomes.

• Other duties as assigned by district leadership.

Physical Demands This position requires sitting, standing, and moving frequently. The supervisor must also use the computer for extended periods. It involves performing a variety of duties and working under varying levels of stress. Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually per the district's policies and procedures.
