Substitute paraprofessionals (teacher assistants) positions available with the Smithfield Public Schools for the 2026-2027 School Year. Experience is preferred, but not required. Substitute teacher assistant positions require of the following: Teacher Assistant Training Program Certification with Qualifying Para Pro Assessment test results OR Associates degree along with teacher assistant training certification OR Bachelors degree along with teacher assistant training certification OR Any degree with childcare coursework, (teacher assistant training certification not needed in this case) APPLICANTS: ONCE YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY OUR OFFICE, WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO THEN PROCEED TO SUBMIT TO THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE LOCATED AT 49 FARNUM PIKE SMITHFIELD, RI 02917 THE FOLLOWING: Forms cannot be emailed. Please see page 2 of the list of acceptable documents on the I9 form to avoid a delay of processing your application! Direct Deposit form (will be provided to you by the district) NOTE: After you have applied on SchoolSpring, please follow the instructions above to submit the forms required to our office. You WILL BE EMAILED ONCE YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN REVIEWED WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO drop off the forms to 49 Farnum Pike Smithfield anytime between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.
