Full time: 40 hours working 37.5 hours The Cambian Group, the UKs largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant.
Main duties of the job We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team and be based at Cambian Pottersbury Lodge School. This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: you will be working directly with individual students or groups to deliver therapy programmes, under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), supporting SLTs in assessment of residents communication skills, reporting on students progress, providing support with resources for individuals. You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian SLT service, be eligible for training.

We aim to teach self-management that allows students to utilise their strengths and manage their difficulties successfully. Our work is based upon understanding the ability of the student to manage as an individual, as part of a group and within their family and the wider community.
Job Role

Candidate Profile
It is essential that the successful candidate has an interest in communication and has worked with young people with autism, challenging behaviour and experience of complex needs would be an advantage. Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team for all aspects of this post are essential.
Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
