Hertfordshire Community Trust has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to support children and young people, their families and schools within the Sensory Processing Service.
We are looking for 0.5 WTE Band 7 Senior Positive Behaviour Analyst to bring skills and experience of working within the Sensory Processing Service. The successful candidates will also join or large and innovative team of therapists and assistance working within our community service.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the MDT to deliver universal and targeted and specialist support to children, young people and their families in a variety of settings.

maintain a high degree of professionalism when working in settings with a highly emotive atmosphere with multi-disciplinary Teams demonstrate extensive knowledge and skills of behaviour analysis and approaches. demonstrate extensive knowledge and skills of sensory processing differences for children and young people. be flexible in their approach and have resilience under pressure work both in a team environment and autonomously demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of working with children, young people, families and schools. Demonstrate a high level knowledge and experience of implementing reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices demonstrate Neuroaffirmitive practices We can offer you:

This is a permanent post based across Hertfordshire. The base will be agreed to meet service needs and demand. There might also be an opportunity for a proportion of their time to be home working (to be discussed with your manager).
In addition to the basic salary, some posts attract a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum and a maximum payment per annum, pro rata where applicable, depending on base.
For this role you will need to have a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)

Various Requirements Essential
Masters of Science, or Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Behavioural Analysis/Positive Behaviour Support Accredited as a UKBA (cert) and registered with the UKSBA Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by post graduate diploma specialist training, experience, short courses plus further specialist training to masters equivalent level. Maintain an active engagement with current developments in the fields of Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, Learning Disability, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and Mental Health and related disciplines. Be able to demonstrate good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Possess resilience to deal with exposure to the highly distressing and emotional demands of the role including verbal aggression. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). Eligible to live and work in the UK.
