Job SummaryThis position is located at USAG Stuttgart - MWR, Outdoor Recreation, Kelley Barracks Stuttgart, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess experience in hunting and fishing and teaching/instructing courses to customers Possess a hunting/fishing license, and with the ability to obtain and maintain a German hunting and fishing license Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, and in the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Major DutiesWorks under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant, instructing groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs;such as but not limited to rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to participants who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.Teaches children as well as adults.Incumbent is responsible for group management. The safety of the participants must always be the number one priority.Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation, as well as be familiar with local area as the position requires providing information to customers.
