Job SummaryAbout the Position: Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. Specialized experience is defined as: provides through instructions for policing of all ammunition, brass, debris, trash, and residue by using units, operates a computer on automated ranges and maneuver live fire ranges and completes physical security checks or the ranges/facilities within the range operations complex. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Major DutiesServes as the technical expert, exercising real-time command and control over the entire range and training area complex.Conducts range walks and performs detailed inspections of training land and facilities to assist units in the preparation of live fire/non-firing training, as required.Achieves mission accomplishment through working and coordination with military personnel and civilians.
