Our IT team plays a key role in this success by building and maintaining the systems that support our national operations. If you're looking to do meaningful work in a stable, growth-focused environment where IT is a true competitive advantage, this is the place for you.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced C# Developer to join our small, collaborative development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain internal business applications, including contributing to the modernization of legacy systems into C#/.NET.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET desktop applications
• Write and maintain SQL Server (TSQL) queries and database structures
• Build and integrate Web APIs across internal systems
• Support ongoing modernization projects, including legacy system migration
• Contribute to code quality, testing, and DevOps practices
• Collaborate with team members to deliver effective technical solutions
Skills and Experience
• 5–10+ years of experience in C#/.NET development
• Strong experience with WinForms applications
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server and TSQL
• Experience working with APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment
Nice to Have
• Experience with VB6 or legacy system modernization
• Exposure to DevExpress tools
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools
• Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, or Citrix environments
What We Offer
• Competitive health and dental benefits package
• Company-matched RRSP program to support long-term financial wellbeing
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal and family support
• Short-term and long-term disability coverage
• Thorough on-the-job training and consistent education opportunities
• In-house Professional Development programs
• Opportunities for growth
• People-first approach
• Flexible Hybrid work model — 2 days onsite near Toronto Airport, 3 days remote
• Meaningful technical ownership — this is not a ticket-queue role
• The opportunity to be part of a large-scale modernization project with real scope and impact
• A team culture that genuinely looks out for its people — high tenure, low noise, direct communication
• The satisfaction of working somewhere IT is a genuine competitive differentiator, not overhead and very much appreciated by Operations
Our Approach to AI
We see real value in AI-assisted development and are actively incorporating it into our workflows and projects. That said, we believe that for the foreseeable future, AI tools work best as a force multiplier for experienced developers — not a substitute for them. We are looking for candidates who share that view: developers who can leverage these tools effectively while bringing the technical judgment to know when to trust them and when not to.
Salary Range is: $90,000 - $110,000. This posting is for a future opportunity and not a current vacancy.
