Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements: We need strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain complex data concepts clearly.We need a strong understanding of data modelling, including design, interaction across multiple subject areas, and industry standards.We need experience in metadata management and data standards, including maintaining accurate repositories, conducting impact analysis, and ensuring data is governed, consistent, and compliant across systems.We need proven capability to translate business challenges into scalable data architecture solutions across multiple domains.We need demonstrated leadership behaviours, including continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, clear vision, and evidence-based decision-making aligned to organisational objectives. Responsibilities: We work closely with business unit representatives and senior stakeholders to define data strategies, principles, and objectives.We take an active role in technical and business design authorities, approving data strategies and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.We provide assurance through verification and validation that systems are designed, upgraded, managed, decommissioned, and archived in line with data policies across the full data lifecycle.We lead the design of data flows and translate business requirements into effective data architecture.We provide oversight and guidance to other data architects and support the interpretation of needs at a strategic level.We ensure consistent standards are applied, support data dictionary management, and work with technical architects to align systems with agreed data architecture principles.We embed data governance, quality, and assurance across the full data lifecycle, including responsible use of AI, strong metadata management, and high data quality standards.We use Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview to support governance.
