About this role

Salary: £23,000 - 63,000 per year

Requirements: We require you to be a UK national, based within reasonable commuting distance of Stevenage, or willing to travel regularly to our Stevenage office/customer site.You must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) and/or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance; prior SC/DV clearance is strongly preferred.You should have 8–12+ years of experience supporting CAD or aerospace engineering applications in global AMS environments.You should have at least 3–5 years of experience in a Technical Lead or similar senior support role, with ownership of application support and operations.You should have hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with Creo Parametric, Creo View, Creo Illustrate, and MATLAB.You should have experience with Arbortext Aerospace & Defense, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Manager, IBM DOORS, Cameo Teamwork Cloud/MBSE tools, E3 Cable, and MOOD system administration/support.You should have strong technical skills in application installation, upgrades, patch management, user and access management, license management, and compliance monitoring.You should have a good understanding of database fundamentals, including SQL Server and/or Oracle, basic querying, and performance awareness.You should have scripting experience with PowerShell, APIs, and preferably Python for automation, reporting, and operational improvements.You should have demonstrable experience working in SLA/KPI-driven support models, with strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.You should be familiar with ITIL-based processes; ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 certification is preferred.You should hold a bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Responsibilities: We provide L2/L3 support for engineering applications such as Creo, MATLAB, IBM ELM/DOORS, Cameo, E3 Cable, and MOOD, as well as related integrations.We analyse and resolve complex incidents, service requests, and application-related issues within agreed SLAs.We perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring problems.We manage application availability, performance monitoring, health checks, and capacity considerations.We plan and support application installations, upgrades, patches, hotfix deployments, and migrations.We configure and maintain application environments, including user access, roles, permissions, licenses, certificates, and service accounts.We ensure adherence to ITIL processes by driving Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities.We maintain and enhance integrations between engineering applications and connected platforms, including log analysis and integration troubleshooting.We create and maintain support documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and runbooks, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.We act as the primary technical escalation point for customers and internal support teams and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.We participate in CAB meetings, planned maintenance activities, and regular service review sessions, providing status reporting to stakeholders.We identify automation opportunities, process improvements, and support the transition, onboarding, and stabilization of new applications into our AMS landscape.
