Department: Campus Development Office Job Posting Details The Campus Development Office is looking for a capable and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Technical Officer. The appointee will assist in campus space planning and utilization, wayfinding and furniture procurement of associated projects. Major duties and responsibilities include:
• Preparing guidelines to draw up specifications of term contracts for standard furniture and directional signs; • Managing the University’s space inventory and drawing records; • Conducting site inspection and space utilization monitoring; • Maintaining and updating directional signs, lift directories, building and road signage across the campus; • Coordinating space data collection for management reporting; and • Enhancing overall campus environment that provides a sustainable, accessible, and safe place to work and study.
Applicants should have a Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate or equivalent in Architecture / Building Surveying or related disciplines plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word) as well as AutoCAD are essential, while sound knowledge of BIM software is a plus. The ideal candidate should also have ability to work independently. Applicants with lower academic qualification but with extensive relevant work experience will also be considered. Occasional site visits to off-campus facilities of the University may be required. (Duration: 2 years)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
