We are currently looking for experienced Automation Engineer to be part of our Consumer Healthcare Supply Chain business and this role will be based at Ulu Kelang office. In this role, you will be responsible to manage the development of Automation strategy for the Kuala Lumpur site in accordance with GSK corporate procedures. Other Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that optimal quality of products is safely shipped on time every time by fostering a culture that consistently deliver outstanding safety, quality, service and value to the person at the end of our supply chain. • Responsible for related site engineering technical authority, duty holder responsibilities and adherence of the site to internal and external engineering, quality, EHS and financial standards, both internal and external. • The SME is accountable for:
• Leading activities related to Technical Authority requirements and ensure compliance. • Defining the requirements for managing and controlling the specific risk(s) for which they are accountable. • Ensuring the GSK facility’s compliance with internal written standards and external regulatory requirements and for a specific risk. • Management of OT and other portable programming devices to minimise cyber security risk to the OT environment • To act as the technical expert for the site automation equipment. • Act as a technical liaison engineer for automation elements of Capital Projects. • Undertake process improvement projects to existing automation systems. • Management of additional contractor resource as may be required for small projects. • Ensure that Automation facilities & equipment are maintained and installed to meet site requirements and within agreed budgets. • Work with engineering and site leadership teams to develop an automation strategy and co-ordinate its implementation. • Identify investment opportunities for automation. • Keep up to date with current developments in Engineering & Computing Systems, ensuring best practice at all times. • To ensure that suitable and agree engineering records are maintained relating to installation, removal, alteration, maintenance activities/intervention for the automation equipment on site. • Provide technical support to regulator audits in the area of automation. • Ensure compliance with applicable Haleon policies and procedures – EHS/Engineering Standard, GQP/G, GQMP’s. • Generation of technical reports and documentation – write, revise and approve technical SOP’s relating to area of expertise. • Generate knowledge guides and maintain appropriate library documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements. • Provide technical support to validation projects across the site. • Be actively involved in the development and prototyping of automation technologies across site. • Automation includes systems such as Electronic Batch Records, automated OEE of assets, BMS, Cobot etc.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation) • Min of 3 years working experience in Engineering of GMP environment. • Good behavioral approach, acts with integrity, an ambassador for engineering. • Recognized expert for specified field. • Good understanding of Quality Management System. • Proven ability to deliver small automation based improvement projects on time. • Experience in a wide range of automation and control technologies, field and control instrumentation. • Strong understanding of hazardous area design and installation standards. • Able to prioritize and reallocate work to meet project/site timelines. • Knowledge in RCA. • Familiar with 6’s lean management, FMEA methodology. • Can work in a fast environment paced environment and work at flexible/tended working hours.
