Job summary
We are looking for a committed individual with a specialist interest in nuclear medicine to help lead and develop the nuclear medicine department together with our incumbent nuclear medicine physician. The post holder must cover a full range of nuclear medicine imaging and have an ARSAC licence or be in a position to apply for an ARSAC licence on being appointed to the consultant post.
Main duties of the job
This is a replacement post covering both adult and paediatric cases including subspeciality oncology nuclear medicine and cardiac scans. There are plans to instal a new digital PETCT scanner by Alliance on the BRI site in the next 12-18 months which will cover both paediatric and adult PETCT from Bristol and surrounding region.
A further subspecialty interest in oncology, whole body MRI or gyne imaging would be welcomed but not essential.

Qualifications & Training Essential
Fully registered with GMC Certification of completion of specialist training (CCT) (or equivalent, OR Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at the point of interview Candidates can be within 6 months of gaining CCT at the date of interview. Please note this does not apply to CESR applications Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (or equivalent) Must be on the GMC's Specialist Register to start Consultant appointment
