Job summary
We're looking for an experienced Organisational Development Manager (Band 7) to join our People Directorate. You'll support the design and delivery of organisational development interventions that strengthen culture, team effectiveness, leadership capability and colleague experience across the Trust.
Working closely with the Head of Organisational Development, HR colleagues and services across the organisation, you'll provide OD consultancy and practical support to help teams and directorates respond to local priorities. You'll design and facilitate development activity, support change and improvement work, contribute to leadership development, and use insight and feedback to shape effective interventions and evaluate impact.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide specialist organisational development support across the Trust, using diagnostics and evidence-based approaches to design and deliver interventions that improve culture, team effectiveness and organisational performance.
They will plan, coordinate and deliver a range of development activity, including workshops, team interventions and leadership development support, working with colleagues and subject matter experts where required.
The role will work in partnership with services, directorates and HR colleagues to provide practical OD consultancy, support change and improvement activity, and help teams respond to local priorities and challenges.
In addition, the postholder will contribute to colleague engagement and organisational development activity by helping to gather and use feedback, support action planning, and ensure development work is informed by insight and aligned to organisational priorities.
They will build effective relationships across the organisation, communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, and support the monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of organisational development activity.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications Essential
Degree level qualification in a relevant subject area (or equivalent level of demonstrable experience). Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to OD / leadership / staff engagement.
Other Requirements Essential

Experience Essential
Evidence of designing and delivering OD interventions in a complex organisation. (e.g., culture change, team effectiveness, change/improvement) Experience facilitating groups, including senior stakeholders, and creating inclusive/psychologically safe sessions. Experience of designing / developing / commissioning leadership development (not just delivering training). Evidence of using needs analysis/diagnostics to shape interventions (e.g., feedback, engagement insight, culture/performance themes). Evidence of evaluation and impact (measures, outcomes, learning loops) for OD and/or leadership development work. Experience using staff feedback/insight (surveys/listening/focus groups) to identify themes and support action planning. Evidence of programme/project delivery: managing priorities, multiple stakeholders, and delivering to deadlines
Desirable
Survey/engagement expertise: Experience of leading or supporting delivery and analysis of the NHS Staff Survey/NQPS (or equivalent engagement survey)
Knowledge Essential
Working knowledge of OD principles and culture change approaches that improve performance. Knowledge of staff engagement approaches and how to translate feedback into meaningful actions. Understanding of evaluation/continuous improvement approaches (outcomes, impact, learning).
Skills and Abilities Essential
High-level facilitation and ability to manage sensitive discussions with diverse groups. Ability to diagnose issues using data/insight and design evidence-based interventions. Ability to analyse and communicate qualitative and quantitative insight clearly (briefings, recommendations). Stakeholder management/influencing skills with credibility with senior leaders.
