Job summary
A part time permeant vacancy for a phlebotomist required at Meddygfa Rhydbach, Botwnnog.
Working hours between 8:30am-11:00am up to 4 days a week, with flexibility on days.
The post holder will be required to perform venepuncture on registered patients as requested by clinicians and also dealing with specimen samples.
Occasionally the post holder may be required to act as chaperone to the clinical team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a caring and reliable phlebotomist to provide a safe, efficient and high quality venepuncture service.
The successful candidate will collect blood samples, prepare specimens for transport maintain accurate patient records and work closely with the wider practise team to deliver excellent patient care.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Undertake venipuncture safely and competently for patients, following practice policies and procedures. Correctly identify patients and accurately label and handle blood samples. Record clinical information accurately in EMIS web. Good it skills and ability to maintain accurate records understanding of confidentiality. Infection prevention and safeguarding. Reliable, organised, and patient focused flexible approach to working.
Desirable
Previous experience working in general practise all the NHS. Experience using emis web or other clinical system NVQ Level 3 in health and social care knowledge of infection prevention and control Welsh language skills desirable
Qualifications Desirable
