Job Title: Staff Software Engineer Location: Bangalore
Business & Team: Corporate Technology
Impact & contribution: The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic regulatory reporting initiatives, supporting production operations, and driving the integration of our future-state data architecture. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor offshore engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build and operate cloud-native services, APIs and data products. • Deliver scalable solutions that support credit risk decisioning. • Contribute to modern service-domain and event-driven architectures. • Lead technical design, code reviews and complex problem solving. • Champion engineering excellence across testing, observability and operational readiness. • Support modernisation initiatives and migration of legacy platforms. • Mentor engineers and help strengthen engineering capability across the squad. Skills & Experience Essential
• Have strong experience building and operating software at scale. • Bring expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices. • Have experience with distributed systems, streaming or event-driven architectures. • Thrive in a "you build it, you run it" environment. • Have modernised legacy platforms into cloud-native services. • Enjoy mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction. • Are curious about AI-enabled engineering and emerging technologies.
Technical Skills Engineering: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Cloud & Platforms: AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Cloud-Native Architecture Data & Streaming: SQL, NoSQL, Apache Flink, Data Products, Event Streaming DevOps & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Artifactory, Kargo Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty Education Qualifications: Bachelors of Engineering or BTech or equivalent graduation
