About this role

Job Description Serve as a key leader in safeguarding the company’s personnel, assets, and premises. As the Assistant Manager for Security Operations, you will drive the strategic and tactical execution of safety protocols, ensuring absolute compliance with Philippine regulatory standards while aligning with the company's broader business objectives.

Your Role & Core Responsibilities:

• To provide efficient, economical and reliable security service to other AOC airlines. • Design and implement plans for security requirements relating to protection of aircraft, assets, properties, cargo and personnel in accordance with the regulatory requirements and company’s policies.

Your Functional Duties:

• Evaluates and ensures the effectiveness of the airline security program by observing airport security activities, reviewing and evaluating practice, policy, procedure, and responses for periodic tabletop or field exercises • Addresses security compliance, procedures, and planning with airline personnel, contractors, etc. • Identifies potential security concerns, collecting and analysing data on trends and patterns, reviewing security and inspection reports, and formulating alternatives to address trends and concerns • Keep abreast of existing and new legislation and ensures compliances to international laws and regulations. • Conduct preliminary investigation and assessing operational security incidents. • Assess operational risks, provides direction and implement mitigation plans. • Prepare response for any emergencies / crisis situation to meet business continuity plan. • Maintaining close liaison with local and international enforcement agencies in enhancing Airline Security. • Represent the Company in Disciplinary Inquiries. • Devise, implement and maintain security measures (procedures, controls and intelligence procurement) at all operational areas across the network. • Direct and controls security measures to protect guests, aircraft, assets, cargo and staff. Ensure measures are operationally sound and are implemented effectively in line with regulators and Company programmes. • Design and deploy effective control systems/security technologies that are cost effective. • Plan and ensure there are adequate trained manpower available to optimise performance. • Prepare and control sectional expenditure budget for Security Operations to be in line with approved budget. • Prepare and participate in security regulated exercises both national and international involving hijacks, bomb threats handling and aircraft crash. • Timely submission of special reports on events of security interest to the Head of Security and the Management. • Assist in the recruitment and training of Security personnel including assisting in the on the job training to update personnel on the development of the aviation security. • Perform stations security evaluation to ensure the Company’s compliance to the regulatory requirements and security interest is not compromised. • Plan security services and to discuss with Security administration / Ground Handling Management on the cost / rates to be applicable to the customer airlines seeking security services. • Represent the Company on matters related to aviation security at the relevant regional or international forum in order to keep abreast with the latest trends relating to threats/security measures and other developments with regards to aviation security.

Minimum requirements:

• posses a degree in any field; • have at least 5 years experience in AVSEC Aviation; and • posses a international qualified certification from ICAO OR IATA
